Three Rivers Information Security Symposium (TRISS)

The Three Rivers Information Security Symposium (TRISS) is a one-day, multi-track event that brings together Pittsburgh's top IT and security professionals to share knowledge and collaborate. TRISS aims to increase awareness, foster collaboration, and enhance knowledge within the local information security community.

Founding Organizing Organizations

TRISS is proudly founded and supported by five Pittsburgh-area organizations united by a shared commitment to advancing information security: the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Pittsburgh Affiliate, the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), RMU's Top Secret Colonials, Infragard Pittsburgh, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Together, these groups bring a wealth of expertise, diverse perspectives, and deep community ties that make TRISS possible each year.

Scholarship Program

A cornerstone of TRISS's mission is its dedication to investing in the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. TRISS proudly offers scholarships to students pursuing careers in information security, helping to build a stronger, more diverse pipeline of talent for the region. In 2025, TRISS will award $33,500 in scholarships, bringing its all-time total to an extraordinary $118,500 awarded to students across the Pittsburgh area.

Who Attends?

TRISS draws key decision-makers and security experts from some of the region's most prominent organizations across industries including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy. Speakers are selected entirely on merit, ensuring a fair and unbiased process that puts the quality of ideas first.
