CODE OF CONDUCT

Respect and Inclusion

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Harassment, discrimination, or exclusionary behavior will not be tolerated.

Professionalism

Attendees are expected to behave professionally at all times. This includes being respectful in speech, actions, and on social media related to the event. Any form of offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior, including inappropriate jokes or language, is not acceptable.

Appropriate Interaction with Sponsors

While TRISS offers an excellent opportunity to network with industry sponsors, we encourage interactions to be professional and considerate of others. If you’re exploring job or internship opportunities, feel free to ask about them; but ensure your approach is respectful and doesn’t disrupt others who may be engaging with sponsors for other purposes. Sponsors are aware that attendees may be seeking career opportunities, but most are not attending with recruiters or HR representatives. Instead, focus on learning about their products, services, or projects, and let the conversation flow naturally if career opportunities come up. The dedicated career room this year will also provide a space specifically designed for job and internship inquiries.

Safe Environment

Creating a safe, positive environment is a top priority. Harassment or behavior that makes others feel unsafe will not be tolerated. If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it to event staff immediately.

Privacy and Photography

Respect the privacy of other attendees. Do not take photographs or recordings of individuals without their consent. Be mindful when sharing content on social media, and avoid publishing information about others without permission. A professional photographer has been hired to take photos and video of the event. If you do not want your image to be included, please let the photographer know.

Compliance with Venue Rules

Please follow all venue-specific guidelines and respect the event space. This includes keeping the environment clean, following designated paths, and respecting any restrictions or requests from venue staff.

Reporting Violations

If you feel that someone is violating this code of conduct or you are made to feel unsafe, please notify event organizers or a staff member. We take all concerns seriously and will address them promptly and confidentially.
